My mission, which has risen from lived experience, is to be a positive force in the world to help people overcome the darkest moments of their lives and find the strength to rise. With my cancer diagnosis I’ve felt a calling to create something that helps people to climb from adversity and to provide education with the hope of preventing tragedies from happening in the first place.
Anger, sadness, and a profound sense of loss will weigh heavily on those who lose someone they love. These feelings last for years and healing from such tragedy takes time — sometimes a lifetime.
When adversity strikes it can be isolating, frightening and it tests you in ways you can’t imagine. It’s okay to experience this. It's a challenging time and we’d not be human if these feelings did not surface.

Nothing is easy when everything is hard. When I fell my instinct was to pull away, isolating myself in pain. It was easier to withdraw than to engage.
I felt so alone in my darkest moments. I suspect that this is true for anyone who finds themself wrapped in adversity and who is afraid to seek help.
I’m very weak. I can walk to the local shops, which are only minutes a way but I’m not strong enough to carry even a small load of groceries home.
